The Engineering That Makes It Safe

Snow-load rated framing. Northeast Ohio roofs are engineered for snow loads an ordinary deck frame was never designed to carry. Posts, beams, and footings all get upsized, with a 6x6 post on an oversized footing where a bare deck could use less.
Proper roofline tie-in. The connection between new roof and old is where leaks are born. We flash into the existing roof plane or wall correctly, and match your shingles so the addition reads as original construction.
Real drawings, real permits. Every covered structure needs a permit in virtually every Northeast Ohio municipality, and most building departments want to see beam and footing sizing. We produce the drawings and handle the review.

A roof over a standard deck typically adds $8,000–$18,000 to the project depending on span, roof style, and ceiling finish; full covered-porch builds commonly land between $25,000 and $50,000 with decking and railing included.
